Transformation With Positive Self-Talk.

When I mention a great potential for transformation with positive self-talk, it doesn't mean that for some reason I will suggest you to start "talking" to yourself. As a mater of fact we are talking to ourselves all the time. If you look closely, who you are is the story you are telling yourself.

Most of us are not even aware of the power of positive self-talk in our lives. Unless we differentiate our awareness from the fusion of incessant inner commentary running through our mind, we don't even notice its dominance. 
It may seem a natural way of going about life — to have an opinion and explanation to all that's perceived. Most of our conceptual structure is built upon words. Thoughts are mental constructs — symbols of perception and words are symbols of thoughts. 

To demonstrate the Magic Of The Mind — the words that build our perception, our experience, I like to use the quote by Frank Outlaw.

    Watch your thoughts, for they become words,
    Watch your words, for they become actions,
    Watch your actions, for they become habits,
    Watch your habits, for they become your character,
    Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

But how often do we actually choose to comment on our own state of affairs with the most positive and uplifting approval? The quality of inner commentary determines the quality of our experience. How you relate to yourself within while having an outer experience is the experience itself.

And you define this experience by using words — an inner dialog. So there is an innate self-talk that taking place much of the time. Yet most of us not recognizing that we are having a choice of how to use our life's energy. It is like an electrical current — intrinsically neutral in its nature. 

But where we direct, or plug it depends on us. Events occurring in your life are just events. How you respond to them by choosing the words and a language to describe them is your responsibility. That is domain of your immediate power — your input.

Positive Self-Talk Is A Creative Power Directed By You!

  • Intention of Positive Self-Talk increases your awareness of inner flow of mental commentary. You might be surprised to discover that a lot of self-talk is a repetition of imperative or disparaging language by your less than perfect parent or a teacher.
  • It builds a sustained mindfulness of Who You Are and where the words are coming from inside.
  • It encourages you to focus on what you want rather than resist and re-create what you don't want.
  • Positive Self-Talk teaches you to take responsibility through the way of choosing for yourself instead of abusing yourself.
  • It frees your limited view of yourself and replaces with alternatives that are creative and rising from the current awareness.
  • Positive Self-Talk teaches you to replace self-judgment and criticism with positive suggestion and inner support. It brings your consciousness in partnership with your aspirations and positive goals.
  • Positive Self-Talk teaches you
    to be a conscious co-creator of your life experience.
  • With awareness of the power of self-talk you gain access to Healing Through Time.

When you travel alone and have a time and place to relax with yourself, it is genuinely the greatest opportunity to observe our inner dialogue and replace it with positive self-talk. 
When it used with intention, it can be a very powerful tool to change causes for travel therapy and self-renewal

Become aware of the commentary as soon as you can. When it is condemning in nature or disparaging and less than uplifting, allow your creativity to come up and change it into something that is affirming and encouraging you to move into a positive vantage point. If you find it not easy to create positive self-image then use a couple affirmations below.

Bring an image of yourself from the situation you having self-talk about. Relate to yourself from a position of a partner, an ally — as someone who is friendly and unconditionally accepting. Look this image into the eyes and say this affirmations:

  • I am loving and accepting myself completely as I am.
  • I am accepting all my feelings as part of human experience.
  • I am beautiful and lovable being, however I am feeling.
  • I am not my thoughts feelings or behaviors.
